The Heidelberg Fountain Pen Factory was founded by Messrs. Luce and Enßlen. However, the name wasn't mentioned in the Heidelberg address book until 1889. Wooden fountain pens were produced, and fountain pens and gold nibs were imported from Morton in New York.
