The Kaweco gel rollerball pen – light 13g, writing size 13.5cm, folded only 10.5cm, 6 different colors, designed in Heidelberg.

The handy Kaweco Sport has been around since 1911. When closed, it measures just 10.5 cm in your pocket. With the cap repositioned, it expands to a regular size of 13 cm, fitting comfortably in your hand while writing.

The invention of the gel rollerball pen enables particularly easy and gliding writing. The ink flows seamlessly over the ceramic ball onto the paper surface. And here's the best part: the Kaweco gel rollerball pen offers an exceptionally smooth writing feel.

If you'd like to explore Kaweco's history in Heidelberg, we recommend two places: The pens were produced in the Handschuhsheim district from 1925 to 1976. Even today, you can still find the company logo on the exterior facade, directly above the original entrance door, framed by life-sized fountain pens:

After Kaweco was founded, ownership passed through various families over the decades. Hebborn was the last owner.

Next to this factory building, in the same district, is a lovingly furnished museum. Every second and fourth Sunday of the month, from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m., you can marvel at the historical collection from various Heidelberg fountain pen manufacturers. Lovingly assembled by Thomas Neureither, the grandson of a former Kaweco employee.
